Valsa Camelo
Once upon a time, in a land set across the Western Coast of India, a little girl had a dream. She dreamt of her wedding day as most little girls do. An image of her in a beautiful white gown was always at the forefront. This little girl grew up and then thought about her prince charming, who will accompany her down the aisle. She wondered what will he be like? Will he be like her recent crush on a drummer or will he be like the stars on her favourite series?

On the other side of this tiny state, unbeknownst to the little girl, was a little boy. He wasn't thinking about his wedding day, rather he was thinking about the tune he learnt at his music class the previous evening. The little boy grew up and dabbled in local theatre; enthralling the audience with his melodious voice and musical beats with the band he played.
The Meeting
It was destiny that led the little girl, Valsa, to cross paths with the little boy, Sheldon. Valsa moved to England with her family in a few years. She then crossed paths with Sheldon at a Konkani theatre show one fine evening. He was part of the performance with his band. They followed each other on social media with no romantic intent and shared a fantastic bond of friendship. It was surprising how in a short space of time they became each other's shoulder to lean on or even cry on. Their shared love for music always brought them closer together.
Sheldon eventually moved across the pond to America, but he never let his bond of friendship break with Valsa. Time and distance made it diffcult to keep a constant connection, but when they spoke, it was like old times.
They both treasured their friendship so they did not want to take a chance and ruin a good thing. It was almost fate that led the two of them together. After many phone conversations, over several years, across the oceans and time zones, Valsa and Sheldon decided to let destiny lead them. Destiny led them to the most beautiful place, in the warm embrace of love!
The wedding
Valsa and Sheldon are all set to tie the knot on the same western coast of India where their tiny selves had big dreams - their home - Goa. The little girl will finally meet her prince charming, and as destiny would have it, he turned out to be drummer! I wonder if the little boy will play a special rendition for his bride on the big day? I guess we will have to wait with bated breath!
